In a heartwarming display of generosity and commitment to community development that could also be said to be scriptural, Hon. James Yakubu, former Commissioner in Plateau State has empowered 25 Anaguta widows and less privileged individuals with cash tokens to boost their small-scale businesses. The beneficiaries who were equally selected from the five Anaguta clans of Andugom, Andirigiza, Anagohom, Anabor, and Andoho, gathered at the Anaguta community hall in Jos to receive their cash tokens.
The event, Trill Times News reports was witnessed by esteemed dignitaries, including the National President of the Anaguta Development Association, Hon. Dr. Daniel Dala Boka, and the National President of the Anaguta Women Development Association, Mrs. Victoria Sanda, who was represented by her vice, Mrs. Linda Matthew. Other stakeholders in attendance included Hon. Pius Gimba, Hon. Dala Garba, and all the women branch leaders across the five clans.
Both beneficiaries and dignitaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Hon. James Yakubu, praising his generosity and kindness. They noted that his actions were not motivated by political reasons but rather by a genuine desire to uplift his community. This gesture is particularly significant, given the current economic challenges facing the country.
In a brief interview with Trill Times News, the National President of the Anaguta Women Development Association commended Hon. Yakubu’s efforts, stating that “his commitment to empowering widows and less privileged individuals is truly commendable”. The beneficiaries also expressed their sincere gratitude, singing songs of praise and praying for God to bless Hon. James Yakubu abundantly.

Recently, he extended similar support to individuals in Bassa and Jos North, solidifying his reputation as a true son of the soil who prioritizes the welfare of his people above all else.
