In an effort to ensure bumper harvest, food security and poverty reduction through farming, the Executive Chairman of Langtang North, Hon Pirfa Jingfa Tyem will today flag off the distribution of fertilizer to his people
Confirming the development to Trill Times News, National President of Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), the umbrella body of Tarok Youths Worldwide, Amb Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N) said “I have received invitation from the Council Chairman, Hon Pirfa Jingfa Tyem to attend the Flag off of fertilizer distribution today by 11am at Agric Store Shishiri, Langtang North”
“The Chairman did inform me too that there would be fertilizer for Tarok Youths, so whatever quantity we receive, it shall be made public and redistributed fairly” added the President
He urged the would-be beneficiaries of the fertilizer to “use it for farming and not resale it because this would be counterproductive and retrogressing to our development as Tarok people”
Amb Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N) advised the Council Chairman to make public the list of beneficiaries and quantities received to avoid hoarding the products by a few people which will ultimately defeat the aim of the fertilizer distribution
He also called on Tarok Youths to come out en masse and witness the distribution of the fertilizer
Farming is a major occupation of the inhabitants of Langtang North and such a gesture of fertilizer distribution will go a long way to improving harvest and economic development of the people
