The paramount ruler of Mwaghavul Kingdom and the Grand Patron of Mwaghavul Youth Movement (MYM), Mishkaham Mwaghavul, HRH Da John Putmang Hirse has suspended with immediate effect the National Election of the Youth body following the inability of the electoral college to conduct the Youth election as scheduled.
In a message on sunday morning, 26th January, 2025 by Chief Musa Pwul a member of Kapuk in Mishkaham Mwaghavul Traditional Council, obtained by trilltimes.com.ng, the statement reads:
“SUSPENSION! SUSPENSION!!”
“HRH Da John Putmang Hirse mni, CON, MNIM, the Mishkaham Mwaghavul and the Grandpatron of MYM has directed me to reiterate the INDEFINITE SUSPENSION of the Mwaghavul Youth Movement general election, due security reports at his disposal. That a caretaker committee will be appointed by him soon. Consequently, the MYM ELCOM has been disbanded. Any inconveniences this might cause anybody is hereby regretted.”
Trilltimes can further reveal that the election couldn’t hold at various centres because of omission of some candidates names on the ballot. For instance, a Vice Presidential candidate who participated in the manifesto night few hours to the election couldn’t find his name on the ballot leaving his opponent unopposed.
For the post of Financial Secretary, Livinus picture was on the list but the name printed against his name was that of Engr Kyesmang Jonathan whose name had earlier appeared on the Presidential ballot he is contesting for. To make matter worse, four candidates were screened and cleared for the position of Assistant Secretary while only one candidate name was on the ballot
