…As Tarok Youth Express Special Appreciation To Gov. Mutfwang
Tarok Youth at home and in diaspora have been called upon to continue to give massive support to the Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s administration on the Plateau
Plateau State Commissioner for Works, Hon Ubandoma Joshua Changtim Laven, PhD made the appeal today in his office at State Secretariat when he played host to Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), the global umbrella for Tarok Youth
In his opening remarks, TAPYA National President, Amb Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N) said they were in the Commissioner’s office for three reasons.
Firstly is to congratulate the Commissioner for his reassignment to the Ministry of Works, secondly to appreciate the generous Commissioner for his magnanimity and empathy towards Tarok people regardless of political or clannish differences and thirdly to intimate the vibrant Commissioner about the Association’s ongoing Civil Defense office complex in Langtang
Amb Nyantau had special commendation for His Excellency Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for his special love and absolute believe in Tarok Sons and Daughters
The Tarok Youth President mentioned the appointment of the Secretary to the Government of the State, Grade A Ministry like Works, Information and Communication, Rector of Plateau State Polytechnic and Energy Commission as some of the key appointments Gov Mutfwang has trusted Tarok people with
Amb Nyantau said “as our culture and tradition, anyone that identifies with the Tarok people, Tarok people will support him massively, therefore, expect our strongest support for Gov Mutfwang’s administration beyond 2027”
Responding Hon Laven expressed his excitement over the visit and assured Tarok Youth of his renewed commitment to the development of Tarok nation.
The former Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development took time to adequately brief Tarok Youth of the vision of Gov Mutfwang for Tarok people and urged them to support the Governor especially as 2027 draws nearer.
He also enjoined Tarok Youth to rethink their old method of political engagements saying that the interest of Tarok nation should be prioritized over personal interest
Dr Laven cited the synergy between the appointees of the Governor and politicians from the opposition party as a perfect example that Tarok Youth must emulate.
He cited in particular their cordial relationship with the Member representing Langtang North and South in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Prince Vincent Venman Bulus as an example of political sportsmanship Tarok Youth must emulate and desist from attacking each other.
In fulfilment of his personal monetary reward of 500,000 each to Yenzem and Yenbyen Tarok, and additional 500,000, the Comrade Commissioner transferred the sum of 1,500,000 into TAPYA’s account. The Commissioner’s gift to the winners is to be handed over to them by TAPYA President being the global leader of Tarok Youth
