As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, Amb Dr Ibrahim Nanpon Elijah Dogonyaro, Director General of the Presidential Amnesty Program for the North East, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his transformative leadership in the region.
Speaking with Trill Times News, Amb. Dogonyaro highlighted the President’s total commitment to the Amnesty Program, noting its role in restoring peace, rehabilitating ex-militants, and creating opportunities for thousands of youths across the North East.
“The success of the Amnesty Program under President Tinubu’s guidance has brought hope, stability, and progress to a region long affected by conflict,” he said.
The DG reaffirmed the program’s dedication to continued deradicalization, rehabilitation and re-integration, emphasizing that Nigeria’s unity and growth remain a shared responsibility for all citizens.
“On this day of national pride, we celebrate the resilience of Nigerians and the positive strides in the North East,” Amb. Dogonyaro added.
