Hon. Hafsat Abdullahi, one of the pillars of support of former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El Rufai has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing a misalignment with the party’s current direction and priorities.

In a resignation letter addressed to the chairman of Sabon Gari South, Ward 11, Kaduna South, Abdullahi stated that after careful consideration, she had reached the difficult conclusion that her values and vision were no longer in sync with those of the APC.

“Over time, I have engaged, committed, and dedicated myself to being active and loyal to the rules and regulations of the APC since its inception in 2013/2014. However, I believe the party no longer serves the best interests of the people we aim to represent,” she wrote.

Expressing concerns about public welfare, Abdullahi emphasized that governance should prioritize the needs and expectations of the people. She lamented that the party’s current trajectory no longer safeguards those interests, prompting her immediate withdrawal from the APC.

She also extended her gratitude to colleagues and party members for their support during her time in the party, wishing them well in their future endeavors
