Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Plateau State, Hon Chief Ephraim Usman in his usual magnanimity and show of empathy has sent a team to inspect the damaged Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN) Local Church Council Jwak Maitumbi in Mangu Local Government Area. The church was destroyed in April 2023 during communal attacks

Disclosing this to Trill Times News on Sunday, 9th April, 2025, Hon Amos Mangsock Eldad said “Recalled, I visited Hon. Ephraim Usman, the Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs sometimes back to seek aid as a representative of the people of Mangu Ward”.

Dropping the cheering news, he said “Today, the people’s servant has once again demonstrated his commitment to goodwill and community development. His decision to send a team to assess the building project of COCIN LCC Jwak-Maitumbi, a church destroyed in April 2023 during a community attack is a testament to his dedication to rebuilding and restoring hope to affected communities”.

“This gesture does not only showcases Hon. Usman’s empathy and compassion but also highlights his commitment to integrity and quality. By sending a team to assess the building, he ensures that the reconstruction process is efficient, and meets the highest standards. As a commissioner, he has always shown unrelenting efforts to promote peace, stability, and development in Plateau State”.
