The Plateau State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven, has demonstrated yet another act of generosity and solidarity with the Tarok nation as he donated One Million Naira during the First Tarok Christmas Carol in Jos, an event organized by the Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), the apex body representing Tarok youth across the world.
The historic carol service, which held on Sunday, 7th December 2025, at the Millennium International Event Center, Jos, brought together Tarok sons and daughters under a shared atmosphere of worship, unity and cultural pride.
Hon. Laven, who took the Nineth Carol Lesson, expressed profound delight at the initiative, describing it as a spiritual and cultural milestone for the Tarok people in the state capital.
Overflowing with excitement, the Commissioner commended TAPYA for successfully assembling Tarok people under what he described as “a unifying banner of Christ and community.”
He noted that the carol service had proven that the youth remain a formidable force in preserving the identity, unity and aspirations of the Tarok nation.
In his usual spirit of unmatched generosity, Hon. Laven announced a One Million Naira donation in support of the well-organized event. He clarified that the contribution was made on behalf of Hon. Barr. Beni Butmak Lar (the Amazon), himself, Hon. Rims, Hon. Nannim Langyi, and Hon. Nanbol Rimvyat.
While addressing the leadership of TAPYA, led by the National President Amb. Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N), the Commissioner urged the entire Tarok youth to rally behind Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, whom he praised for his extraordinary goodwill and developmental focus toward the Tarok nation.
Hon. Laven highlighted several key infrastructural commitments of the Mutfwang administration that directly benefit Tarok communities. These include the Lohmak–Gazum project, the Spur to Kunkwam, and the soon-to-commence Zamko–Talbut–Mabudi Langtang South road project.
He also mentioned the ₦30 billion water project, the ongoing water reticulation efforts within Langtang, and the Nban to Guiwan Kogi bridge, all of which he said attest to the governor’s genuine love and attention to Tarok nation.
The Commissioner concluded by encouraging all Tarok youth to remain united, focused and supportive of the government, stressing that such collective strength is necessary to sustain development and secure a brighter future for the Tarok nation.
