For many Junior Secondary School students in Kaduna State, February 19, 2025, marked a significant milestone in their academic journey.
On this day, Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Noodles, reaffirmed their commitment to education by awarding scholarships to 100 students across 10 government junior secondary schools in the state.
The scholarship presentation, held at Junior Secondary School, Sabo Tasha, was more than just financial assistance, it was a celebration of academic excellence and perseverance.
Each participating school received N500,000, benefiting the top 10 indigent JSS3 students.

This scholarship initiative is part of Indomie Noodles’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, which focus on education, feeding, community development, and health. By investing in students, the brand is not only reducing financial burdens but also encouraging hard work and a brighter future.
Speaking at the event, Abraham Elukpo, Regional Marketing Manager (North) of Indomie Noodles Nigeria, emphasized the brand’s dedication to supporting education:
“At Indomie Noodles, we believe in giving back to society, especially to children who represent the future of our nation. We have awarded scholarships to students in Port Harcourt, Ota (Ogun State), and Lagos. Through this initiative, we aim to support students and their families, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality education. We hope this scholarship inspires these young minds to keep striving for excellence.”
The event was graced by key government officials, including:
Professor Yahaya Saleh, Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Scholarships and Loans Board (KADSSLB), Haulat Madu Uma, Director of Scholarship, KADSSLB, Alexander Musa, Assistant Director (Admin and Finance), Ministry of Education, Murtala Yahaya, Post Staff Officer, Ministry of Education.
Commending Indomie for its support, Professor Yahaya Saleh said, “This scholarship is not just financial aid, t’s a life-changing opportunity for many students. We deeply appreciate Indomie Noodles for their commitment to education, which aligns with our vision for accessible learning. We look forward to more partnerships like this.”
For the students, the scholarship was more than just financial relief, it was a motivation to excel.
Favour Onazi, a beneficiary from GJSS Sabo Tasha, expressed her gratitude:
“This scholarship means the world to me. I am so happy that Indomie thought of us here in Kaduna State.”
The Principal of Junior Secondary School, Sabo Tasha, Ishaya Ayuba Ranga, highlighted the impact of the scholarship:
“Many of our students face financial struggles that threaten their education. This scholarship provides hope and encouragement. We are incredibly grateful to Indomie for their generosity.”
Parents at the event were equally overjoyed, offering prayers for Indomie’s continued support.

To round off the event, Indomie’s Mobile Kitchen served hot, delicious bowls of Indomie noodles to students, teachers, and community members, adding warmth and excitement to the day.
