The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, Hon. Pirfa Jingfa Tyem, has strongly refuted what he described as “reckless fabrications and baseless accusations” aimed at discrediting his administration’s integrity and developmental strides.

In a statement issued on Sunday, 5th October, and exclusively made available to Trill Times News, Hon. Tyem condemned the social media reports alleging that “asset recovery is business as usual in Langtang North,” dismissing them as “untrue, malicious, and a shameful affront to the good people of Langtang North.”

“Let it be stated unequivocally that governance in Langtang North is not business as usual. Under my leadership, together with the Conviction Team, leadership to us is the serious business of development, accountability, and transparent public service,” the statement read.

He noted that those circulating “lies and inflammatory rhetoric without a shred of evidence” are the ones truly guilty of the “usual business” of political blackmail and mischief.

Hon. Tyem emphasized that his administration – popularly referred to as the Conviction Team – stands on a solid record of verifiable achievements and open governance, adding that anyone with evidence of wrongdoing should present it before the appropriate anti-corruption agencies. “We have nothing to fear, because we have nothing to hide,” he asserted, while reaffirming his commitment to selfless service and transparent administration.

The Council Chairman further stated that his administration would not be distracted by “desperate voices seeking attention,” assuring that his focus remains on delivering meaningful progress and improving the lives of citizens.

He urged the public to disregard what he described as a “failed attempt at propaganda,” and to continue supporting the local government’s collective efforts toward a more developed and accountable Langtang North. “To the Conviction Team, we welcome constructive criticism because they are our paid guidance, but reckless falsehood is counterproductive,” the statement concluded.
