Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), the umbrella body of Tarok Youths Worldwide has extended her heartfelt sympathy to Mrs Nannyi Solomon whose restaurant and entire shopping complex was razed by fire in the early hours of Saturday, 1st February, 2025.
National President of Tarok Youths, Amb Miri Timnan Nyantau while on the spot assessment of the destroyed complex said the sad incident is so devastating and heartbreaking. He encouraged Mrs Nannyi Solomon to take what happened as act of God. He said Mrs Solomon is an industrious and hardworking woman that has not only strived in her business but has helped fed many on several occasions
The National Publicity Secretary of TAPYA said “the President appealed to Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) and spirited individuals to as a matter of urgency come to the aid of Mrs Solomon who lost her means of livelihood and her entire stock in the fire inferno”
He added that “this is a trying time for her. We must rally round an entrepreneur who has so many other workers that earn their living under her”
“If there is anytime that we must demonstrate our unity of purpose and solidarity, the time is now. Let’s show through our little contributions and support that an injury to one is an injury to all. Let’s reach out to Mrs Nannyi Solomon through 07035814710”
TAPYA also called on the Local Government, State Government and Federal Government to have a serviceable fire fighting vehicle in Langtang. The Youths described as unacceptable the level of damage recorded because Fire Service couldn’t provide any support to fight the fire even when the restaurant is less than 150m away from Fire Service Station
