Miva University Langtang: A Bold Inscription Of Tarok Patriotism On The Pages Of History -TAPYA, Celebrates Simdul Shagaya

The Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), the umbrella body of Tarok Youth Worldwide, rejoices with the entire Tarok nation as our illustrious son, Mr. Simdul Shagaya, plants yet another seed of greatness by establishing a center of Miva Open University in the heart of Tarokland.

In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade C.C. Dashe, on behalf of the National President, Amb. Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N), TAPYA described the development as “a bold inscription of Tarok patriotism on the pages of history.”

The Association lauds Mr. Shagaya for his vision and love for his people, noting that education has always been the pride of the Tarok nation. “From the days of our forebears who valued wisdom and learning as instruments of survival and leadership, to this moment in history, the opening of a university center in Tarokland stands as a continuation of that heritage”.

According to the statement, “This is more than an educational project; it is a cultural landmark, a gift to generations yet unborn, and a call for all Tarok sons and daughters to unite in preserving our legacy of progress.”

TAPYA further joyfully announced that the official commissioning of the Miva Open University Center will hold on Wednesday, 17th September, 2025, at Palam, Langtang campus of the University. The occasion, the Association stressed, is not just an academic ceremony, but a celebration of Tarok resilience, pride, and hope, calling on all and sundry to come out en masse and support the event.

The National President, Amb. Miri Timnan, while reflecting on the significance of the project, said “When a child climbs a tree, he does so for the benefit of the community”.

He added: “As Simdul Shagaya has climbed this tree of knowledge and planted its fruits in Tarokland, so too must we, the Tarok youth, gather beneath its shade and share in its blessings. Let us rally together, for in unity lies the strength of our people and the future of our nation.”

TAPYA offered a cultural blessing: “May the spirit of our ancestors guide this institution, may the wisdom of our elders strengthen its foundation, and may the light of knowledge shining from Pallam spread across Tarokland, Plateau, and Nigeria at large.”
