Movement For The Emancipation Of Nigeria Expresses Deep Outrage And Grave Suspicion Over The Conflicting Accounts Surrounding EX-CGI, Parradang’s Tragic Death

The Movement for the Emancipation of Nigeria (MEN) expresses deep outrage and grave suspicion over the conflicting accounts surrounding the tragic death of Retired Comptroller General of Immigration, David Shikfu Paradang. What should have been a straightforward report on the demise of a statesman has instead been muddied by contradictions, deliberate misinformation, and a desperate attempt to control public perception.

From the false claims of his kidnap and murder to the curious sequence of events leading to the discovery of his body, there is a clear attempt to manipulate the truth, smear his legacy, and perhaps conceal a more sinister reality.

WHO IS AFRAID OF THE TRUTH?

The first story circulated by major media outlets claimed that Mr. Paradang was kidnapped and murdered. This version was widely spread before any official confirmation from security agencies, raising fundamental questions:

Who first peddled this falsehood?

Why was there such urgency in shaping a narrative before facts were established?

Was this an attempt to preempt or overshadow the real circumstances of his death?

Barely hours later, the FCT Police Command issued a counter-statement with a completely different account, detailing that Mr. Paradang checked into a hotel alone, entertained a female guest, and was later found dead in his room by a military officer. While this version dismisses the kidnap narrative, it introduces new and disturbing questions:

THE MYSTERIOUS MILITARY OFFICER: WHO TOLD HIM?

According to the police report, a military officer “traced” Mr. Paradang to the hotel and insisted on checking on him at 4:00 AM. This raises serious red flags:

How did this officer know Mr. Paradang had checked into that particular hotel?

Why was he so certain that something was wrong—was he expecting to find a lifeless body?

Who tipped him off, and what information was he acting on?

In any normal situation, if a person is unreachable, family and friends would call repeatedly, send messages, or visit his home. What made this officer bypass all that and go straight to a hotel he supposedly did not know about before? His actions suggest prior knowledge—but from whom?

The police report also confirms that a woman was with Mr. Paradang until 4:00 PM before leaving. This raises further concerns:

Who is this woman, and what was her relationship with the deceased?

What conversations did they have? Did she notice anything unusual?

Was she simply a visitor, or was she planted as part of a larger scheme?

Her sudden disappearance is highly suspicious, and the fact that efforts are only “ongoing” to track her down suggests that those who should have secured her for questioning might have deliberately let her go. Was this woman a bait in a setup?

AN ATTEMPT TO DESTROY HIS LEGACY EVEN IN DEATH?

The false kidnapping story and the hotel narrative appear too neatly crafted—one to cause public outrage, and the other to tarnish his reputation.

Why was a distinguished officer of Mr. Paradang’s caliber suddenly linked to a fabricated kidnap claim?

Why was his last known activity carefully framed around a hotel and a female visitor?

Who benefits from reducing a statesman’s death to a salacious scandal rather than investigating what really happened?

This looks like a calculated effort to discredit him in death, to distract from the real cause of his passing, and to erase his contributions by drowning him in controversy.

OUR DEMANDS

The Movement for the Emancipation of Nigeria (MEN) will not allow this matter to be swept under the carpet. We demand a full-scale, independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Paradang’s death. Specifically:

FULL DISCLOSURE on the military officer’s source of information.

Who called him?

What exactly was he told?

Did he have prior knowledge of an attempt on Mr. Paradang’s life?

IMMEDIATE RELEASE of all hotel CCTV footage.

Who else entered the hotel after Mr. Paradang checked in?

Were there any unusual activities or movements around his room?

Was there any attempt to tamper with security evidence?

URGENT IDENTIFICATION AND INTERROGATION of the female visitor.

Why did she leave at exactly 4:00 PM?

Did she notice anything that suggests he was in distress?

Has she been contacted, and if not, why?

A FULL AUTOPSY REPORT to determine the exact cause of death.

Was there any foul play?

Were there toxins, sedatives, or any form of external influence?

Were there signs of a struggle or external pressure leading to his demise?

Beyond the troubling circumstances of his death, we must not lose sight of the great loss that this represents for Nigeria. Mr. Paradang was a patriot, a leader, and a man of impeccable service who dedicated his life to the security and stability of this nation.

To his grieving family, we extend our deepest condolences. Your loss is immeasurable, and we share in your pain.

To the good people of Plateau State, we mourn with you. Mr. Paradang was not just a son of Plateau; he was a beacon of integrity and discipline, a figure who inspired many, and a statesman who carried the weight of national service with dignity.

To Nigeria at large, this is a tragic reminder that no one—no matter how accomplished—is safe from the forces of conspiracy, deceit, and hidden agendas. This is why we must insist on a transparent investigation and absolute accountability.

A FINAL WARNING

We see through the games being played. We recognize the tactics of public misdirection, information manipulation, and character assassination.

This is not just about one man’s death—this is about justice, about truth, and about stopping the dangerous culture of covering up crimes through misinformation.

The Movement for the Emancipation of Nigeria (MEN) will remain relentless in pursuing this case to its logical conclusion. If Mr. Paradang died a natural death, let the facts prove it. If foul play was involved, let the perpetrators be unmasked and held accountable.

Nigeria deserves the truth. The world is watching.
