Jos, October 1, 2025 – As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, the Plateau State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Joshua Ubandoma Laven, Ph.D., has joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the nation’s enduring spirit of freedom, unity, and progress.

In a goodwill message obtained by Trill Times News in Jos, the state capital, Hon. Laven described the day as a celebration not only of Nigeria’s independence but of the resilience and vibrant spirit of her people.

“Together, we stand strong in resilience and continue to bring honour to our country,” he said, urging Nigerians to continue drawing strength from their diversity and the richness of their culture.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of past heroes while building on their legacies to secure a greater future.

“Today we pay tribute to the aspirations of our past and the promising future ahead. Let’s persist in pushing boundaries, generating opportunities, and standing tall as a nation destined for greatness,” he added.

Hon. Laven congratulated Nigerians on the milestone anniversary, encouraging unity, hard work, and patriotism as the country forges ahead.

“Happy Independence Day, my fellow Nigerians,” he concluded.
