What does Chief Ezenwo Wike want in Rivers State?
Who has really offended Chief Wike in Rivers State? Is it the gods or the people of the State?
Does Chief Wike really want peace and tranquility to reign in Rivers State at all?
Hasn’t Chief Wike reaped enough benefits from the political crises leading to the temporary truncation of democratic governance in the State?
How much pains and agony and for how long does Chief Wike wish to make the people of the State go through?
Can the common senses in Chief Wike and his cohorts in the State Assembly make him to think like a reasonable person and act reasonably and responsibly?
Otherwise, how rational is for the Chief Wike’s “Boys” in the State Assembly demand the submission of list of Commissioner Nominees and the State Budget just a day immediately after the resuscitation of democratic governance and structures in the State? Why the hurry?
In my candid and respected view, this is a precipe for the continuation of hostility and imminent recollapse of the democratic system as well as a sure way of holding the entire State to ransome.
It’s reasonably expected that the reinstated Governor Fubura would be given at least two weeks to take stock of the state of things, replan and refocus himself, and then hit the ground running for the betterment of the State and for peaceful coexistence amongst the people of the State.
Furthermore, one would have also reasonably expected that both the Governor and the Members of the State Assembly, who are considered to the major losers, would learnt enough lessons from the suspension of all democratic structures in the State.
But sadly and unfortunately so, as it would appear, the State Assembly Members didn’t seem to have learnt any lessons at all.
Finally, let me conclude by reminding all the major actors in the the negative political activisms in Rivers State that even life itself is very temporal, talk less of power that is very transient, and that no one knows tomorrow.
Chief Wike, please let Governor Fubura, the Government and the People of Rivers State be, also let unity and progress, growth and development processes take the centre stage.
While Rivers State shall certainly outlive the relevance, efficacy and notations of all Mortals, everyone should be willing and prepared to join hands to fasten the basis of governance, so that the State shall reclaim her place of pride and influence among the comity of States.
