Jos – In a groundbreaking partnership blending beauty and advocacy, the Ochaworth Leadership and Community Development Initiative (OWLACDI) has joined forces with lifestyle brand Pout & Play to launch the Pink Lip Gloss Edition for Breast Cancer Awareness.
The initiative, themed “Pink Gloss for a Cause,” is set to be unveiled on October 1st at Hotel Samaritan, opposite New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos by 12 noon. The launch will feature a limited-edition pink lip gloss collection dedicated to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer patients and survivors.
According to the founder of OWLACDI, Dirmichit Pyentam, the color pink – globally recognized as the symbol of breast cancer awareness – was carefully chosen to redefine beauty as a tool for solidarity, courage, and compassion.
Proceeds from the sales will be channeled into patient support, awareness campaigns, and community empowerment programs.
Event highlights include the official launch of the Pink Lip Gloss Edition, opportunities for attendees to purchase gloss in support of survivors, and interactive sessions to learn more about OWLACDI’s mission and the Pout & Play social impact drive.
“This is more than a beauty launch; it is a movement of hope,” OWLACDI noted in its announcement. “Every gloss sold represents a step closer to saving lives through early detection, treatment support, and community empowerment.”
As the official media partner, Trill Times News will provide exclusive coverage of the event and campaign activities. With breast cancer continuing to pose a major health challenge in Nigeria, this initiative is already gaining attention as a fresh and creative approach to advocacy.
Supporters are encouraged to join the movement by attending the launch, purchasing the gloss, and proudly wearing pink in solidarity with breast cancer warriors.
Together, we can Gloss Up and Stomp Out Breast Cancer!
