Jos, Nigeria – The Sporting Director of Plateau United FC, Gideon A. Izang, has taken full responsibility for the club’s disappointing loss to Rivers United today at New Jos Stadium, tendering a heartfelt apology to supporters and stakeholders.
In a message personally shared on the Plateau Football Association (PFA) WhatsApp group on Thursday, Izang acknowledged the growing concerns surrounding the club’s performance and expressed regret over the pain the result caused loyal fans.
He described the moment as a “difficult phase” for the team and assured stakeholders that Management is already taking steps to correct lapses and restore confidence.
“We fully accept responsibility for today’s result and sincerely apologize for the disappointment it has brought. We are committed to making the necessary adjustments to turn things around,” he said.
Izang appealed to fans to remain calm and continue supporting the club, stressing that their encouragement is crucial during challenging periods. “We need our supporters now more than ever. Please stay with us as we work toward better days,” he added, praying for God’s guidance as the team seeks improvement.
