PURE EVIL: TERRORISTS FEED NEWBORN TWINS TO DOGS IN ZAMFARA AS LAWMAKER CRIES OUT OVER RISING ATROCITIES
In what can only be described as one of the most horrifying acts of terror ever reported in Nigeria, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, a federal lawmaker representing Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji in Zamfara State, has revealed that terrorists fed newborn twin babies to dogs after abducting their pregnant mother.
Jaji, who previously chaired the House Committee on National Security and Intelligence, made the revelation while speaking with journalists about the worsening state of insecurity in Zamfara and the broader northern region.
“A pregnant woman was abducted. She gave birth to twins while in captivity. The leader of the terrorist group took the babies and threw them to his dog. The dog ate the twins one after the other. Where are we? What level of wickedness is this?” Jaji painfully recounted.
According to the lawmaker, these are not isolated incidents but daily realities for citizens in Zamfara, who now live in perpetual fear, unable to farm, trade, or move freely due to the deadly grip of terror groups operating with impunity.
In another shocking testimony, he shared the tragic case of a young boy with epilepsy who was executed by the terrorists. After the boy fell during a seizure, the terrorists demanded that he be brought forward for execution. His father, fearing for the rest of the family, tearfully begged his son to surrender. The boy complied and was shot dead.
“Now, we are failing those who believed in us. Our people can’t access their farms. Their economy has collapsed. We have many IDPs who are not even recognized by the federal or state governments,” Jaji lamented.
Zamfara State: A Killing Field
Zamfara has become one of Nigeria’s bloodiest theatres of terror, with mass killings, kidnappings, and arson being carried out frequently by terrorist gangs. In April 2025, over 20 people were killed in Gobirawa Chali, Maru LGA, by armed assailants who went on a house-to-house massacre, as reported by Amnesty International. The first strike targeted a gold mining site before they spread into homes and a mosque, slaughtering civilians and leaving dozens injured or missing.
Despite repeated government assurances, the violence has only worsened, forcing residents to rely on armed escorts just to travel within their own communities.
A National Shame
The revelations by Hon. Jaji have intensified calls for decisive action by the federal government. Many Nigerians are now demanding that President Bola Tinubu act swiftly to stop the bloodbath and fulfill his promise to secure lives and property.
For the people of Zamfara and the rest of the Northwest, time is running out — and hope is fading.
