The 3rd Edition of Rebuilding the Young, organized by the Ritkatmwa Timnan Nyantau (RTN) Network, was successfully held on 26th December, 2025 at COCIN LCC Gantang I, Gazum, Langtang North.
This edition lived up to its theme of “Empowering and Shaping the Next Generation”, focusing on guiding and equipping young people for a brighter future. The program recorded a good turnout, with teenagers, parents (mummies and daddies), and a few elders in attendance.
The program targets were mainly the ladies, promoting sexual purity and proper hygiene for the girl child. Experts and God’s vessels exhaustively discussed topics such as life skills, personal and menstrual hygiene, entrepreneurship, and sexual purity, with a special focus on using sanitary pads correctly.
Many teenagers made open commitment to sexual purity, trusting God to help them remain steadfast.
Reflecting on the program, Mrs. Ritkatmwa Timnan Nyantau, convener of RTN Network, said: “Our young ones are the future, and it is our duty to equip them with knowledge, faith, and values that will guide their lives. Today, we have taken steps to rebuild their character, and with God’s help, we will continue to shape a generation that stands strong and pure.”
Pastor Mundi Zakari, one of the team leaders, added: “It is a joy to serve and guide these children. Through discussions on life skills, hygiene, and personal development, we are planting seeds that will grow into confident, responsible, and God-fearing young men and women.”
The program also received warm appreciation from parents and church leaders. A parent remarked: “We are grateful for the RTN Network’s effort in teaching our children important life lessons. This program not only educates them but also strengthens their faith and values, giving us hope for a brighter future.”
While a church leader shared: “Programs like this remind us that the church and community must come together to nurture the next generation. Today’s event has shown that when we invest in our youth, we are investing in the future of our society and our faith.”
The teenagers themselves expressed excitement and gratitude. One participant said: “I have learned how to take care of myself, respect my body, and trust God to help me make the right choices. I promise to stay true to the commitments I have made today.”
As part of the program, sanitary pads were distributed to all the ladies, while tablets of soap were shared with the boys, adding a practical touch to the lessons taught.
It was a truly fulfilling and memorable moment for the children.
Looking ahead, the RTN Network promises an even bigger and better event next year, featuring a music concert with prominent gospel artistes from across Plateau State, a children’s funfair, games, and more.
The network according to the Convener remains committed to creating impactful and enjoyable experiences that continue to rebuild and inspire the next generation.
