Jos, Plateau State — Senator AVM (Rtd) Napoleon Bali has called on members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to remain steadfast, united, and focused in the face of current internal challenges confronting the party.
In a statement made available to Trill Times News, the Senator, whose election victory was recently upturned by the Court of Appeal over issues relating to party structure, expressed optimism that the PDP will overcome its present difficulties.
Sen. Bali acknowledged that the party is currently grappling with differences in perspectives among members on how best to move the PDP forward but stressed that such challenges are not insurmountable.
“Let us remain that One United PDP Family that we have always been,” he said, cautioning members not to be distracted by “the voices of fifth columnists and political opponents” who may seek to exploit the party’s internal issues for their own advantage.
The retired Air Vice Marshal assured his supporters that he is deeply concerned about the forthcoming 2027 general elections and is closely monitoring developments within the PDP alongside His Excellency and other key party leaders in the state.
He further hinted that, in the unlikely event that the party’s current structure becomes unsuitable for achieving their collective political aspirations, alternative platforms may be considered in the overall interest of the people.
“We are determined not to allow what happened to us in the past to repeat itself,” he stated, while appreciating party loyalists for their continued faith, resilience, and commitment to the PDP.
Sen. Bali reaffirmed his dedication to the unity and progress of the PDP, assuring that the required leadership will be provided to guide the party through its current phase.
