Tarok Youth Blast Fake Open Letter, Back Mutfwang 100%, Welcome Tinubu to Jos

JOS – The Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA) the Umbrella body of Tarok Youth Worldwide has come out strongly against a viral social media publication made under the faceless pseudo account “Sargwak Haruna,” describing it as cowardly, baseless, and a failed attempt to malign Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.

In a statement signed by TAPYA National Publicity Secretary, Comrade CC Dashe, on behalf of the TAPYA National President, Amb. Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N), and made available to Trill Times News in Jos on Monday, 29th September, 2025, the group categorically distanced itself from the so-called open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We challenge those hiding behind anonymity to be bold enough to put their names forward if they have issues with the Governor. Anything less is sheer cowardice. Their futile attempt can only be likened to an attempt to fetch water with a basket,” the statement declared.

TAPYA praised Governor Mutfwang for his people-focused leadership, citing achievements in infrastructure renewal, peace-building, governance reforms, and youth empowerment. According to the group, Tarok Youth are “more than happy” with Gov Muftwang’s strides and stand firmly with him as he moves Plateau State forward.

The youth body also warmly welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Jos for the burial of the mother of the APC National Chairman, Late Mama Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe and expressed deep gratitude to him for appointing Sunday Hassan as Director of Planning at the Rivers Basin Development Authority, as well as acknowledging the President for the rare opportunity given to Prof Patricia Manko Lar the former Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, who just completed her six-month tenure.

TAPYA assured both President Tinubu and Governor Mutfwang of the unflinching commitment of Tarok Youth to support their administrations. “We are resolute in our loyalty to the President at the Federal level and to Governor Mutfwang at the State level, because their success is the success of Plateau and of Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
