Former Council Secretary of Qua’an Pan Local Government and Stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon Gideon Godenaan Dashe has dismissed Alhaji Zazzaga’s recent statement about the APC in Plateau State as ‘exaggerated and biased’.
In a swift reaction to Zazzaga’s damaging allegation about the APC published by Trill Times News titled: ‘APCIn Plateau State Is Dead, Only Party’s Flag And Rt. Hon Yusuf Gagdi Exist, CriesAPC North Central Progressives Forum, Alh Saleh Zazzaga’, Hon Dashe said “Zazzaga’s claim that the APC in Plateau is dying daily, with only the party flag and Rep Yusuf Gagdi being active, seems exaggerated and biased. His assertion that party leaders prioritize greed over people is a blanket statement that lacks concrete evidence. Instead, it appears to be a veiled attempt to deflect attention from his own actions.”
He wondered why “someone who frequently visits APC national offices, yet undermines Plateau State APC stakeholders, his opinions seem to be driven by personal interests rather than genuine concern for the party”.
He accuses Zazzaga of playing to the gallery to please Gov Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang whose administration had earlier locked up his shops to unlock them for him. “It’s no secret that Governor Mutfwang, a PDP member, locked up Alhaji Zazzaga’s shops in Bukuru. Now, it appears Zazzaga is trying to curry favor with Mutfwang by ridiculing his own party, the APC, in Plateau State. His sudden admiration for the PDP in Plateau is quite suspect, especially given his position as Chairman of the North-Central APC Forum”.
Speaking further, he questioned the motives of the Zonal Progressives Forum Chairman “It’s essential to question Zazzaga’s motives and the timing of his statements. Is he genuinely concerned about the APC’s well-being in Plateau State, or is he trying to advance his own interests by playing politics?”
