The Osun State Chairman of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Charles Omidiji, has stated that his party’s chances of winning the 2026 governorship election would increase if Governor Ademola Adeleke leaves the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In an interview with Sunday PUNCH, Omidiji revealed that many disgruntled PDP members, unhappy with Adeleke’s potential defection to APC, are willing to join the ADC. Additionally, some APC members opposed to Adeleke’s entry into the party may also defect to the ADC.
Omidiji expressed optimism about the ADC’s prospects, citing the party’s internal cohesion and the potential influx of new members from other parties.
