The Plateau State Executive Committee (EXCO) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), lead by the State Secretary Alhaji Iliya Zakari Wase alongside the party’s Zonal Chairmen and Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmen, paid a solidarity visit to the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja in support of Hon. Jude Dakur.

The delegation reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the party’s unity, growth, and democratic ideals while expressing strong confidence in the leadership and vision of Hon. Jude Dakur. They emphasized the importance of working together to strengthen the ADC across Plateau State and the nation.

Speaking during the visit, the Organizing Secretary of the party, Hon. Nanman Daniel Kurom said they reaffirm their support for Hon. Jude Dakur and maintain that any grievances regarding the party’s internal processes should be addressed through the appropriate constitutional mechanisms rather than public protests designed to embarrass the party.

Furthermore, we reject the narrative being promoted by those opposing Hon. Jude Dakur’s emergence.

In a related development, the three Zonal Chairmen on the Plateau express their views, saying Mr. John Sura has not demonstrated the political capacity or statewide support required to lead the ADC to electoral victory in Plateau State comes 2027. Plateau politics demands broad-based appeal, grassroots organization, and the ability to unite diverse interests, qualities we believe are essential for the party’s success.

Our focus as responsible people who mean well for Plateau State is that every genuine party Stakeholders should present a credible and electable candidate capable of expanding the ADC’s support across all local government areas, rather than engaging in actions that create unnecessary divisions.

We therefore call on all party members to reject politics of bitterness and personal ambition. The future of the ADC in Plateau State will be save with Jude Dakur, not some desperate people who are after money and not people’s interest.

The visit underscored the unity of the Plateau State chapter and its determination to contribute meaningfully to the progress and success of the party at the national level.
