The attention of the PDP – Frontiers, has been drawn to yet another embarrassing episode within the tottering ranks of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State on the abrupt postponement of its much-hyped rally barely days to its scheduled date.
While the APC may wish to disguise this fiasco as being caused by “unforeseen circumstances,” as claimed by Shittu Bamaiyi, the Acting Publicity Secretary of the Party, the truth is already in the public domain.
Plateau citizens are aware that the so-called postponement came on the heels of a shameful display of internal chaos that degenerated into near physical combat during the party’s State meeting an incident that once again exposes the deep cracks, mutual distrust, and endless power tussles tearing the APC apart from within.
PDP Frontiers are reliably informed that the now-cancelled rally was hurriedly packaged to “receive decampees,” a laughable move that has now backfired spectacularly. How does a house divided against itself intend to receive new members? Instead of gaining ground, the APC has once again succeeded in mocking itself before the good people of Plateau State.
For a party still nursing the wounds of serial electoral rejection in the 2023 General Elections, it is unsurprising that even the simple task of organizing a rally has become an impossible mission. The APC’s crisis-laden structure is a clear reminder that it remains a party of confusion, noise, and personal ambition with no unifying ideology or direction.
Plateau people have since moved on with a party that embodies stability, purpose, and progress, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the visionary and people-centered leadership of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State.
We advise the APC to first reconcile its warring factions, sheath its daggers, and stop embarrassing itself in public before attempting another charade in the name of a rally. Plateau citizens are no longer interested in political drama; they are witnessing governance that delivers results, unity that inspires confidence, and leadership that works for all.
The PDP remains steadfast in its commitment to deepening peace, fostering inclusion, and sustaining the ongoing transformation across Plateau State. The chaos within the APC is a loud confirmation that Plateau made the right decision by rejecting them resoundingly.
