Nimram Fadul James Assumes Office as 25th Controller of Corrections in Plateau

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has announced the posting of Controller of Corrections, Nimram James Fadul, as the new Controller of Corrections for Plateau State Command.

In a statement made available to Trill Times News, the Service explained that the posting is part of its ongoing strategic administrative redeployment aimed at strengthening leadership and advancing correctional reforms across the country. The statement, dated 4th February, 2026, was signed by DSC G. Y. Longdiem, Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Plateau State Command.


Controller Fadul takes over from Controller of Corrections E.M. Kagah, who retired after 35 years of dedicated and meritorious service to the nation.

On assumption of duty, CC Fadul pledged to uphold professionalism, discipline, and accountability, while working closely with key stakeholders. These include the judiciary, security agencies, traditional rulers, faith-based organisations, and civil society groups, in line with the reform agenda of the Controller-General of Corrections, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, MFR, mni.

The new Plateau State Controller hails from Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State. He joined the Service on 31 December 1991 as an Inspector of Prisons and holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the University of Jos. Before his current posting, he served as Controller (Operations) at the NCoS National Headquarters in Abuja.
