The Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council (LGC), Nasarawa State, has approved the termination of the appointment of the Secretary to the Council, Dr. Ibrahim Bala.
The decision was conveyed in an official letter dated 5th February 2026 and issued from the Office of the Executive Chairman, Keffi Local Government Council.
The letter which was exclusively obtained by Trill Times News was signed by Usman Zubairu Egya, Director of Administration/DPM, for the Chairman, KLGC.
According to the letter, the termination followed a series of allegations against Dr. Bala, including his failure to respond in good time to a query issued on 11th January 2026 over certain utterances.
Furthermore, the letter stated that the utterances were considered a threat to the Executive Chairman, Dr. Idris Ahmed Damagani, PhD, who is identified as his principal.
In addition, the council accused Dr. Bala of making unethical and worrisome statements on social media, which it said were capable of disrupting peaceful coexistence within Keffi Local Government Area and the All Progressives Congress (APC) at both local and state levels.
The letter also cited alleged persistent disrespect to constituted authority, elders, and stakeholders.
Consequently, the letter announced that Dr. Ibrahim Bala has been ceased, relinquished, and terminated from his position as Secretary to Keffi LGC with immediate effect.
