Stakeholders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sabon Gida Ward, Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State, have unanimously endorsed Distinguished Senator Simon Bako Lalong and Hon. Prince Vincent Venman Bulus for continuity ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing their outstanding performance and people-focused leadership.
The endorsement was announced yesterday during the APC ward congress meeting, which drew a large turnout of party leaders, elders, youths, women, and grassroots supporters from across Sabon Gida Ward. Participants described the decision as a clear vote of confidence based on visible achievements and sustained engagement with the people rather than political sentiments.
Speaking at the congress, stakeholders praised Senator Simon Bako Lalong for what they described as a transformational legacy from his time as Governor of Plateau State, particularly in Tarokland and Langtang South.

They recalled the completion and equipping of the Mabudi General Hospital, a project that had previously been abandoned for political reasons before being revived and fully modernized under Lalong’s administration. The hospital is now regarded as a major healthcare facility serving communities within and beyond Langtang South.
The stakeholders also commended Lalong for addressing long-standing administrative and traditional concerns through the creation of additional districts across Tarokland, especially in Langtang South, where districts increased from one to eight, alongside the establishment of the Byan Chiefdom. According to them, the move strengthened grassroots governance, enhanced traditional institutions, and promoted peace and inclusion among the Tarok people.
Hon. Prince Vincent Venman Bulus was equally applauded for what party members described as an exceptional performance within just two years in office, noting that his achievements have outshined those of his predecessors.
They listed the construction of boreholes in about 21 villages, building of classroom blocks, distribution of fertilizer and agricultural materials to farmers, support for small and medium-scale enterprises, and the recent approval for the construction of the Sabon Gida–Mile Four Road as major interventions that have directly improved living conditions and economic activities in the area.
Concluding the meeting, APC leaders and supporters reaffirmed their commitment to party unity and grassroots mobilization, expressing confidence that the continued leadership of Senator Lalong and Hon. Bulus would further deepen development and political stability in Langtang South. They pledged to work collectively to ensure a resounding victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.
