The Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew earlier imposed in Jos North Local Government Area following an improvement in the security situation, with the decision conveyed in a statement signed by Rt. Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap, Commissioner for Information and Communication.
The adjustment, which was made in consultation with security agencies, will take effect from Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Under the new arrangement, movement will now be restricted between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. daily. Residents in the affected area have been advised to comply strictly with the revised curfew hours.
The government noted that the change was made possible due to the level of calm recorded in recent days and commended residents for their cooperation.
It also urged citizens to sustain their support for security agencies to ensure lasting peace in the area and across the state, while calling on the public to report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
