Late Lt Gen JT Useni: Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), The Umbrella Body Of Tarok Youths Worldwide, Renews Passionate Appeal To Gov Mutfwang For The Repair Of Amper – Langtang Road As Burial Date Fast Approaches

Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), which represents the interests of the Tarok youth worldwide has renewed its passionate appeal to Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to prioritize the maintenance of Amper – Langtang road, especially in light of the fast-approaching burial of Late Lt Gen Sen Dr Jeremiah Timbut Useni, distinguished military officer, politician and elder statesman

National Publicity Secretary of TAPYA, Comr CC Dashe in a message on Thursday, February 13, 2025 and made available to Trill Times News in Jos said the National President, Amb Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N) while renewing the passionate appeal the Association made to the government exactly 10 days ago humbly submitted that “in view of the impending burial of Lt Gen Sen Dr Jeremiah Timbut Useni, the need to maintain the road that has become a death trap becomes even more pressing”.

Requesting that the road should be maintained as a tribute and parting gift for the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Transport and Aviation, Amb Nyantau added that “The funeral of ‘Baba Mai Tuwo’ as the gentle general was fondly referred to, is expected to draw significant attendance from family, friends, and dignitaries, because Useni was a prominent figure, that was highly respected not only for his military achievements but also for his contributions to societal development, empowerment and peaceful coexistence”

Gov Mutfwang being urged by the Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA), the umbrella body of Tarok Youths Worldwide to maintain the Amper – Langtang road ahead of late Lt Gen Sen Dr Jeremiah Timbut Useni’s funeral fixed for 22nd February,2025

TAPYA National President, Amb Nyantau according to the Publicity Secretary further placed on records the immense gratitude of Tarok nation for setting up a committee chaired by a Tarok leader of repute and the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arc Samuel Nanchang Jatau to give the octogenarian a state burial but just like Oliver Twist, he asked for more “the delayed maintenance of the Amper – Langtang road will no doubt pose a serious logistical challenge during the funeral and with 9 days to the funeral, we please solicit to the listening governor that The Time Is Now  for work to speedy start and be complete on the road”

The youths expressed optimism that Gov Mutfwang will meet their yearnings by instructing the immediate commencement of work on the road just like he did in Miango, Bassa local government  

Hon Dr Ubandoma Joshua Laven, Commissioner for Works. Can he deliver the maintenance before the funeral? Yes, he can!
