Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has directed the urgent payment of entitlements to Malam Mohammed Bature Jibrin, a former civil servant whose plight recently gained widespread attention on social media.
Jibrin was reportedly dismissed from service by the Kaduna State Government in 2020 without receiving his due benefits, a situation alleged to have contributed to his deteriorating mental health. Moved by his case, Governor Sani requested that he be brought to him, where he personally apologized and extended financial assistance.
The governor has now ordered the immediate settlement of Jibrin’s entitlements, with a deadline set for next week.
Additionally, he has called for a meeting with the Kaduna State Pension Board to investigate similar cases, particularly those involving dismissed or retired workers who are yet to receive their rightful benefits.
