Respected Sports Administrator and Chairman of Langtang North Football Association (LAFA), Amb Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N) has issued a passionate rallying call to Plateau United supporters, urging them to fill the stands and ignite the atmosphere as the team prepares for three consecutive home fixtures that could redefine their season.
He noted that the team’s current position on the NPFL table is not a cause for alarm, explaining that Plateau United has played more matches away from home, while their home tie against Rivers United was pushed forward due to the Port Harcourt side’s engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Speaking to Trill Times News Sports Desk, M.T.N as the Ambassador is fondly called, said “With these three straight matches in Jos, the boys finally have their biggest weapon back, the incredible Plateau United faithful.” M.T.N assured that “If we all show up in our numbers and roar from start to finish, nothing stops us from claiming all nine points.”
The Langtang North Football supremo emphasized that no team in Nigeria thrives without strong home support, stressing that the intimidating presence of passionate fans has always been the backbone of successful clubs across the league. He added that Plateau United must enjoy the same advantage.
He further encouraged supporters across the state to turn the stadium into a fortress: “Let’s make the stands shake. Let’s make every tackle, every pass, every goal feel like it’s driven by the energy of thousands behind the team. With maximum support and maximum points, Plateau United will shoot straight into the top five.”
“M.T.N” concluded with confidence, expressing belief that the fans’ presence will inspire the players to rise to the occasion and reignite their charge in the league.
Plateau United has a date this Sunday, 7th December with Warri Wolves before taking on Rivers United on Wednesday, 10th December that were supposed to have visited the Jos fortress earlier but were involved in CAF Competition. A Local Derby against Nasarawa United with former United’s Coach Mbwas Mangut is billed for Sunday 14th December. United will trade tackles with Kano Pillars in their new home, Katsina State on the 21st December before rounding December with another fixture at home against Abia Warriors on the 27th December
