The Plateau State Football Association (PFA) has congratulated the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Ashoms, as he marks another year, describing him as a steady captain whose leadership continues to keep football in Plateau State on the front foot.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Association, Hon. Prince Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande (Tafidan Irigwe & Garkuwan Furaka), PFA praised the Commissioner for his strong support, cooperation, and team spirit, noting that his partnership with the Association has helped sustain momentum in football development across the state.
The Association said Hon. Ashoms has consistently shown belief in the power of football to unite, inspire, and engage young people, providing the enabling environment for the game to grow from the grassroots to the elite level through his unquantifiable support towards the organization of Governor’s Cup.
“Today, we celebrate your leadership, openness, and unwavering commitment to keeping Plateau football attacking and progressive,” the statement said.
The PFA Chairman further commended the Commissioner’s inclusive and people-focused leadership style, describing him as a true team player who listens, builds consensus, and promotes harmony among sports stakeholders.
According to the Association, this approach has strengthened collaboration and made it easier to execute football and sports programmes in line with the vision of The Time Is Now Administration of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State.
The Plateau State Football Association prayed that God grants Hon. Musa Ibrahim Ashoms continued wisdom, sound health, and renewed strength as he leads the drive to further revitalize sports, particularly football, and expand opportunities for young talents across Plateau State.
The Association described the Commissioner as a dependable leader and a key figure in the team working tirelessly to secure a brighter future for football in the state.
