Former Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development in Plateau State and Frontline politician, Hon James Yakubu has felicitated with the Anaguta people of the state on the occassion of Ishokori Anaguta 2025. Ishokori is the day set aside yearly by the Anaguta people to celebrate their rich cultural heritage.
In a message on Saturday in Jos, the State capital, and exclusively made available to Trill Times News, Hon Yakubu said “On behalf of myself and family, I extend warm felicitations to my king His Royal Majesty Pozoh Johnson Jauro Magaji II, the Ujah Anaguta, Jos, and President of the Jos North Traditional Council, the Anaguta Development Association (ADA), the Anaguta Traditional Council, Anaguta elders council,esteemed invited guests, and the entire Anaguta sons and daughters at home and diaspora as we celebrate the Ishokori Festival of Arts and Culture 2025”.
He added that “This occasion is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and traditions of our beloved Anaguta nation. The Ishokori Festival is a celebration of our collective identity, unity, and resilience”.

“As we gather to celebrate this joyous festival, I pray that it strengthens our bonds, fosters greater understanding, and inspires a new generation to appreciate and preserve our cultural heritage. May this festival also serve as a platform for networking, collaboration, and mutual support among our sons and daughters”.
As a proud Anaguta son, Hon Yakubu expressed optimism that the celebration will further unite their people for more impactful growth. “I believe that the Ishokori Festival 2025 will not only showcase our vibrant culture but also provide opportunities for economic empowerment, social cohesion, and cultural exchange.
