His on-going drive to install solar street lights across Jos is not just an infrastructural upgrade; it is an attestation that governance can be visionary, people-centered, and enduring.
From Lamingo Roundabout to the NDLEA Training School roundabout to JUTH, and from Millionaire Quarters through Gold & Base, all the way to the gateway route from Mararaba Jama’a to Anguldi Junction, Jos is gradually glowing under the warm beams of renewable energy.
Beyond the brightened streets, the project is restoring security, reviving nightlife, and energizing commerce in a city that for too long has lived with the shadows of insecurity and underdevelopment.
What makes this achievement even more profound is its alignment with the governor’s personal journey. As an alumnus of Boys High School whose motto proudly declares “For Light and Truth”, Mutfwang has carried that creed into leadership – turning words into action and mottos into lived reality.
Yet, while Trill Times News commend this progress, we must also remind the administration that light must reach every corner. A city illuminated is good; a state transformed is better. Plateau’s rural communities, markets, and villages deserve this same glow.
Maintenance too must not be overlooked – projects that shine bright at launch often fade into neglect without consistent oversight.
Governor Mutfwang has sparked something rare in today’s politics: symbolism married with substance.
