Hon. Beni Butmak Lar, a five-time elected Member representing Langtang North and Langtang South Federal Constituency and the APC flag bearer for the 2027 elections, has paid glowing tribute to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, as he marks his 58th birthday.
In a heartfelt message, the eloquent and outspoken lawyer described Prof. Yilwatda as a leader whose calm disposition, intellect and sense of purpose have brought stability to the ruling party and renewed confidence among its members.
“Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a life of service, vision and exceptional leadership,” Lar said. “Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda has shown that true leadership is measured by results, integrity and the ability to unite people even in difficult times.”
Lar praised the APC National Chairman for using his highly exalted position to attract meaningful infrastructure projects that will transform Plateau State North Central, and strengthen economic activities across North Central region and the entire country.
She singled out the Akwanga -Jos-Gombe road project and the newly approved extension of the Mararaba Jama’a – Ibi road as major achievements that deserve special recognition.
“These are not ordinary projects,” she said. “They are strategic investments that will improve transportation, create economic opportunities and connect states more effectively. Prof. Yilwatda has shown that leadership should bring development closer to the people.”
According to the fifth time elected federal lawmaker, Prof. Yilwatda’s influence has gone beyond infrastructure. She said the APC chairman has provided the kind of political leadership that has stabilised the party at a critical period in Nigeria’s democratic journey.
“Our party has become more united, more organised and more focused under his leadership,” Lar stated. “His commitment to dialogue, fairness and Alternative Dispute Resolution has strengthened the APC and positioned it for the future. He has brought calm where there was uncertainty and confidence where there was doubt.”
Hon Lar, who is widely respected for her eloquence and fearless contributions on the floor of the National Assembly, said Prof. Yilwatda has earned admiration across political and social divides because of his humility, accessibility and willingness to listen.
“It is rare to find a leader who combines intellectual depth as a Professor with genuine humility,” She added. “He builds bridges, encourages collaboration and places the collective interest of the party and the nation above personal considerations. That is why many people, even beyond party lines, respect his leadership.”
She prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom and good health for the APC National Chairman, expressing confidence that greater achievements lie ahead.
“As he turns 58, I pray that God grants him many more years of strength, wisdom and fruitful service,” Lar said. “May his leadership continue to bring peace, unity and development to our party, Plateau State and Nigeria.”
