The leadership dispute within the Langtang South Community Development Association has taken a decisive turn as the National Publicity Secretary of the association, Comr. V.N Abel, has formally disowned a purported “Affirmation” said to be circulating in support of a former executive.
In an official statement signed and released in his capacity as National Publicity Secretary of the Langtang South Community Development Association, Comr. Abel described the document as fraudulent, deceptive, and lacking every known attribute of authenticity.
He argued that a document of such significance, allegedly emanating from the eight district heads of Langtang South Local Government Area, cannot be presented on an ordinary sheet without letterhead, identifiable authorship, official stamp, or traceable authority.
“Leadership is not conducted through anonymous scribbles,” the statement read, raising critical questions about who authored the document, under what authority it was issued, and whose mandate it claimed to represent.
The statement further maintained that the executive purportedly being “affirmed” had long exhausted its tenure, which expired over a year and a half ago. According to Comr. Abel, any attempt to recycle what he termed “self-imposed authority” amounts to misleading the public.
He accused the former leadership of stalling community progress and failing to provide transparent records of stewardship during its time in office.
In clear contrast, the National Publicity Secretary reaffirmed that the association is legitimately led by Senior Comr. Hon. Loknan Samson Jor, who emerged president through a duly conducted election at the Langtang South Local Government Secretariat.
Hon. Jor, immediate past National President of the Tarok Youth Progressive Association (TAPYA), was described as a tested leader with verifiable records of service, youth mobilization, inclusiveness, and grassroots development.
The statement emphasized that within barely two months in office, the Jor-led executive has commenced concrete programs and developmental initiatives across Langtang South and the wider Tarok Nation.
Comrade Abel concluded by congratulating the current executive and urging those clinging to expired authority to step aside in the interest of unity, legitimacy, and forward progress.
The association maintained that the people have spoken through the ballot and that no amount of “expired theatrics” can overturn the mandate freely given.
