Jos, October 1, 2025 – The Tarok Progressive Youth Association (TAPYA) has joined the nation in celebrating Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, with its National President, Amb. Miri Timnan Nyantau (M.T.N), citing the bravery, achievements, and unity of the Tarok people.
In an exclusive press release made available to Trill Times News in Jos by TAPYA’s National Publicity Secretary, Comr. C.C. Dashe, Amb. Nyantau congratulated Nigerians nationwide while also spotlighting the pivotal role of Tarok institutions and organs in fostering development and cultural preservation.
He specifically commended the Tarok Traditional Council, the Tarok Elders Forum, the Ngwang Ishi O’Tarok Development Association (NIODA), and the industriousness Tarok Women for their commitment to community advancement. He further immortalized the Langtang Mafias (Langtang Generals) who sacrificed their lives in defense of Nigeria, praising their courage and dedication to the nation’s unity and sovereignty.
Amb. Nyantau also saluted the resilience of Tarok youth, noting their vital role in societal progress, and applauded the industriousness of Tarok women, whose contributions continue to strengthen societal values and economic development.
While celebrating these achievements, the TAPYA President emphasized the need for greater unity among Tarok people, calling for collective cohesion as a cornerstone for cultural preservation and national contribution.
Concluding his message, Amb. Nyantau wished all Nigerians a joyous Independence Day, and called for peace, stability, and prosperity across the nation.
