The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has directed that all undergraduate and postgraduate students must henceforth bind their projects, dissertations and theses exclusively at the University’s ATIL Printing Unit.
The directive was conveyed in an internal memo issued by the Office of the Registrar, referenced ATBU/REG/ADM/60, dated 24 June 2026, and addressed to the Provost, College of Medical Sciences (CMS), and the Deans of Faculties.
According to the memo, the decision was approved by the University’s Governing Council during its 97th Regular Meeting, held from Monday, 26 May to Monday, 2 June, 2025. The Council resolved that the binding of all students’ projects, dissertations and theses should be handled solely by the ATIL Printing Unit.
The memo further warned that any project bound outside the ATIL Printing Unit will be rejected by the University, making compliance mandatory for all graduating students.
To ensure strict implementation of the directive, the Registrar called on the Provost and all Faculty Deans to enforce full compliance across their respective colleges and faculties.
The internal memo was signed by Mal. Mohammed S. Adamu, Deputy Registrar, Administration and Council, for the Registrar and Secretary to Council.

The circular was distributed to the Provost, College of Medical Sciences; the Deans of the Faculties of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (FAAT), Engineering and Engineering Technology (FEET), Environmental Technology (FET), Technology Education (FTE), Management Sciences (FMS), Science (FOS), Computing (FOC), Veterinary Medicine (FVM), the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), and the Dean of Students’ Affairs.
